MARTHA J. IRISH BECOMES BRIDE OF CHARLES W. DUTTONCeremony ThurkUy At St. Mary’* Church With Reception Following ,Miss Martha Jane Irish daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilder B. Irish of 1181 Washington street, become the bride of Charles William Dutton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles C. Dutton of 54 Shepard street Thanksgiving day. Rev. Timothy C. Maney performed the double ring ceremony at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic church and a reception followed at the home of the bride’s parents.Beautiful baskets of white and orchid pompons decorated' the church. Miss Jeannette Bennett, organist, played the wedding music.Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ankle length white gown fashioned with net skirt and satin bodice. Her hat was of white satin and she carried an orchid on a white prayer book with white ribbon streamers and sweetpeas.Miss Patricia Dionne maid of honor, was the bride’s only attendant. She wore an ankle length gown of orchid with a net skirt and taffeta bodice. Her hat was of ma'tching taffeta and her flowers were an oriental bouquet of sweetpeas.William Ketchum, Jr., was best man the ushers were Raymond Bourget and Russell Irish, the bride^ uncle.In the receiving line at the reception were the bride and groom, Mrs. Wilder B. Irish, Mrs. Charles C. Dutton and Miss Patrica Dionne. The serving table at the reception was centered with an attractive pompon arrangement. Miss Marie Smart was in charge of the guest book, the maid of honor served the cake and Miss Clayre McKay had charge of the gift table.Mrs. Irish, the bride’s mother, wore a green satin, two piece dress with black accessories and a corsage of yellow roses. The groom’s mother, Mrs. Dutton, wore a flowered dress of navy blue, blue accessories and a corsage of pink roses. 1The bride was graduated from Morse High school with the class of 1947 and is employed at the office of Roger D. Skillings, Insurance and Real Estate. She is a member of Phi Kappa Delta. A veteran of four years service in the Navy being stationed in China, Mr. Dutton will return to the Navy Dec. 8.As Mr. and Mrs*. Dutten lefl on a short wedding trip, Mrs. Dutton was wearing a green two piece nylon dress with grey accessories and an orchid corsage. Upon their return they will reside at 1181 Washington street.
