SANDRA STEELE BECOMES BRIDE ■■ OF BRUCE EPP SUNDAY AFTERNOON i,It was a lovely wedding Sunday afternoon, March 2nd that united in marriage Miss Sandra Steele and Bruce Epp. The couple exchanged vows in the Southern Baptist church at 2 00 p.m., before Reverend Sam Wil* coxon in the presence of over a hundred wedding guests. Miss Steele si the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Steele and Epp is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Epp both of whom reside in the community.Preceeding the double ring rites Miss Judy Jan^n sang “Always” and after the marriage “The Lord's Prayer”. She was accompanied by Miss Marlene Enns.The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She carried a nose way of matching flowers and her accessories were pink. Michael Steele served as best man.Bridesmaids and escorts were Miss Gayle Garth and ■ Ronald ' Tierce; also Miss Norma Hooks and Derek Steele. Bridesmaids were very pretty in pink gowns styled like the one worn by the matron of honor; while their es corts were chic in white tuxedso.Others in the entuorage were Mary Lynn Steele, cousin of the bride who was chosen for the role of flower girl, and little*’ Greg Wilcoxon who served as • ring bearer Mary Lynn’s gowrw- . was a light green organdy eiflF bcllished with white flocking, and her headpiece a band of flowers. She carried a white bas ket filled with rose petals which she scattered on the aisle as the bridal party approached the altar A white tux accented with pink lapel carnation was the outfit worn by Greg. Walter Paton and Gcrvis Robey served as ushers.A reception followed the ceremony and was given in the church social hall. Assisting at the party were Patricia Harding and Wanda Harding who served the punch and cake; also Norma Heyart who attended the guest book and Karen Burquist and JPat Cornell who were present at the gift table.Later the couple left for a wedding trip to the southland and lor traveling the new Mrs. Epp wore a beige linen suit complimented with black patent accessories.Mother of the bride chose a beige silk outfit with brown as the accent color for the wedding; while the mother of the bridegroom wore a navy blue dress and pink accessories.Both bride and bridegroom were graduated from Shafter High School with the bride re ceiving her diploma in 1957 antf the bridegroom ^iis certificate in 1956. He is presently with the Coast Guard in £an Diego,i A lingerie shower was given the bride by Mrs. A1 Wedel and Mrs. Wayne Hooks and was a recent function.
