Waterworks Bonds Discussed At Bennettsville Meeting
The Bennettsville boards of public works and sewerage held a joint meeting to consider selling bonds for waterworks and sewerage. Bids for the $35,000 waterworks bonds at 5 or 6 percent were discussed, with no bid on the full $60,000. Officials favored selling the $35,000 now and delaying sewerage, noting the need for waterworks and the potential for higher assessed values after next quadrennial real estate assessment.
