New Orleans September 16. A massive blaze caused six million dollars in losses as two thousand feet of government stock at the United States army supply base on the riverfront burned. The fire began in a box car and swept the wharf in about thirty minutes.

Woman sets fire to self in Suspected accident at home
Mrs Delia Yagee 39 wife of Arthur Yagge of 615 East Garfield Street is in serious condition at St Eliza Seth’s Hospital after pouring coal oil from a lamp over her clothing and setting herself ablaze around 7:90 this afternoon. Her husband and neighbor Charles Nesbit rushed to help. Nesbit sustained burns while attempting to douse the flames. Doctors report little hope for recovery. The couple has no children.

Death of H. W. Norman Marks Marion Merchant dies at 56
Henry W. Norman of 1200 West Cherry Street died at home shortly after noon on Thursday from heart failure. He was born November 26, 1869, aged 56 years, 0 months, 18 days, married Harriet K. Groves in 1884, and left six children and several siblings. Funeral plans pending arrival of relatives in South Dakota. He was a retired merchant and member of the First Baptist Church in Marion.
