The Williamson County Fair Association enters its 65th year next Tuesday with Joab Goodall as a top organizer and longtime president. Secretary George C Campbell announces Thomas Clark of Beecher Illinois as judge the association calls the best stock judge in the state. Exhibits arrive in Marion Saturday and plans include a large grand stand and show barn extensions.

Trained Giraffes May Come Next at Ringling Circus
The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus may soon train giraffes for performances. Sadie Egypt, an 18 foot giraffe, and her kin are among the thousand animals in the menagerie. Trainers have already tamed camels and zebras, raising hopes giraffes could join the act this season. The trained animals show, including thirty of the largest wild species, will be part of the regular program and appear on Thursday, September 29.

Medal awards honor St Louis miners heroism and Dr A W Springs
Medals were awarded by the Joseph Safety association under H Foster Brain for miner heroism. Dr A W Springs, linked to Royalton disasters in 1915 1917 and 1918, was recommended for one medal after saving a man deemed dead. Boiling Water Burns Autoist Near Spillertown
A young man from St Louis suffered severe burns to face and chest when boiling water sprayed from a car radiator near Spillertown while en route to Marion. He was rushed to a Marion physician's office for treatment. name not learned. Roy Crain witnessed the incident from a truck ahead and reported the radiator cap was removed as steam erupted.

A. H. McInturf planted a peach orchard near Marion last October. One tree planted October 8 1920 bore a Due peach ripening September 6 1921, eight days short of eleven months. The 460 tree orchard has eleven varieties with 40 percent blooming. no losses among last fall’s plantings. Next month he plans 120 more peach trees and 40 apple trees.
