Burglars entered by removing window glass, loaded items into a waiting car, and fled, leaving a suitcase behind. Neighbors heard activity but no arrests reported. Baseball dispute ends in shooting at the ball park
Harvest Kinn, colored, was arrested at Number Nine Tuesday and brought to Marion for county jail awaiting trials. It is alleged that King and another man fought at the ball park when Kinn shot his opponent twice with a revolver. One bullet broke the wrist and the other struck the side. The wounded man was taken to Dewmaine hospital for care. Mrs. Odum of North Walker street, seriously injured August 24 in a trampling by a horse, was taken to Herrin hospital and an operation performed. John Scribbins of Decatur will be in Marion for several days on business.

About 500 mourners attended this large funeral before the procession to Rose Hill Cemetery. Blackburn a World War I veteran was honored by fellow veterans as pallbearers. Tibball Severely Injured After Train Signal Mistake Near Bush
Clarence Tibball of North Bentley street was thrown from a Missouri Pacific train near Bush Monday night. He suffered a fractured left hip and a sprained left arm. his condition was serious but not fatal. He was rushed to St Louis Hospital Tuesday for X rays and treatment, accompanied by his wife and sister Mrs Ernest Norman.
