Mrs Edith Elizabeth Duke Dies After Long Illness
Edith Elizabeth Duke widow of Edward Duke died at 808 North Carbon street after six years of suffering. Born in Crab Orchard June 6, 1848 she was 78 years old. Survived by son George M. Duke and daughter Mrs Drew Reynold of Marion. Funeral Saturday at 10 a m in Goddard chapel with burial at Rosehill cemetery conducted by Tekekah lodge. She was a member of Davis Prairie church and Rebekah lodge for 25 years. Her father Hamilton Corder was an early county settler.
