Alexander Hilson known as Sandy died at his Crenshaw home Monday night after a four day illness from pneumonia. Born in Edinburgh Scotland March 24 1868 he married Elizabeth Melvin November 18 1889 and moved to the United States in 1906 becoming a citizen. He was a member of Williamson Lodge Knights of Pythias Herrin and United Mine Workers. Survived by widow his aged mother one sister and three brothers in Scotland. Funeral Thursday at Crenshaw church at two oclock conducted by Knights of Pythias Herrin.
