The Marion Woman's Club held its annual guest day a George Washington social at Mrs. O. A. Morgan's Thorne Place home on Friday February 18. The event featured a musical program directed by Miss Church with performances by Letha Moore, Mitchell, Pillow and local high school girls. Contest winners included Minnie Lillie Copeland who won a box of Martha Washington chocolates and A. J. Binkley who received a red hatchet decorated with cherries. Benton Man Dies in Mexico Gas Incident
Mrs Leora Morgan of Benton received a telegram reporting the death of her son Loran Morgan in Tampaico Mexico.
