Tre Kennett Fair runs October 19 to 22 with managers thanking supporters for complimentary tickets. Dunklin fair, known for strong showings, is expected to surpass previous years.

The undersigned attended county teachers meetings and visited schools in Southeast Missouri during the third and fourth weeks of September. Dunklin county shows marked progress with high schools at Kennett Malden Campbell and Senath and five other schools doing some high school work. Commissioner Chatham has earnest cooperation of county teachers and town superintendents. Attempts to grade and articulate rural and town schools have been fairly satisfactory though tenure issues hinder progress.
The report praises Ripley county leadership under Prof. J. S. Meddox and strong public high schools in Doniphan and Fredericktown. It notes county teachers' efforts in nature study and language, emphasizes free rural tuition, and mentions improvements in Marion Madison counties, with health, attendance, and a two year course at Potosi Mich school.

M B Minter attended Pilot Knob reunion and visited daughter Mrs. A J Bess at Desloxe. Rosa Dennis of Cripple Creek and Grandma Dollar of Fredericktown visited the Minter family last week.
