A slice of world news notes meat scarcity in Holland driving dog meat prices in butcher shops. American war casualties reach 6.87 million with 10 572 killed in action. Berlin society women must work as street car conductors. A Greenwich millionaire aged 86 marries a 25 year old woman who deserts him after one day.
The town reports influenza led to church and school closures. Raymond Lett returned to Camp Funston after a time with Morrie Wilkerson who came back from Nashville. Henry Wanl and A Venable of Spree Valley were seen in town conducting business. Monroe Rhodes died last week and was laid to rest in Whitener cemetery. Denman shipped a carload of hogs Tuesday.
A Bollinger county chapter of the American Red Cross reports relief work for the year ending October 1915. Hospital garments include 236 pajamas, 416 bed shirts, 48 undershirts, 84 pillow cases, and 60 ice bag covers. knitted items total 445 socks and 176 sweaters with 44 helmets and 12 wristlets. Refugee garments 215 and comfort kits 285. Linen for hospital in France includes 17 sheets, 78 napkins, 110 towels, and 116 handkerchiefs. 855 pounds of clothing were shipped to Belgian Relief. Mrs J C Morgan served as Ex Chairman Military Relief Work.
Estate of Henry Liming administrator John F. Limbaugh directs heirs and claimants to file within eight months after the writ or be barred from any benefit. Letters to Andrese Horneane, Mo W. Coin, Judge of Probate Court in PA. Public notice lists claims against the estate and required procedures to appear.
The estate of Eilis M Shrum deceased has letters of administration granted to Amanda Shrum on November 6, 191s by the Bolingyr County Probate Court Missouri. Creditors must present claims within one year or be barred. Amanda Shrum is administratrix and will oversee allowances. Attest: W C Cole, Judge.
