The semi annual convention of Whitewater and Union township Sunday school association met at Patton Methodist church on May 23. Speakers included Revs J C Hurst Jesse Doggett J M Welker F Yount E Miller and Mr Pewr Conrad. Papers read were Child Training by Miss Alice Murray and Benefits of the Sabbath by Miss Helle Seabaugh. Rev Stinson of Fredericktown attended and spoke. The association formed in Whitewater in 18 and Union joined in 18. The first meeting was at Lodgeville with Peter Conrad as president. J D Hahn was elected president and Miss Ella Miller secretary. A reunion to be held at Alliance in September.
