Involves forty or more youths with parental consent, electing officers, choosing breeders, and a lottery style calf distribution after breed and age are set by vote.
The Calf Club scheme explains averaging calf costs across many calves and financing via banks or clubs. Each child signs a one year note secured by a parent or guardian, with calves mated to a club sire and auctioned after one year. The plan aims to teach practical farm business and raise livestock standards, led by Secretary Jewell Mayes and Missouri boards.
A mixed layout advertises breeding terms for mares and colts at a barn by thrice Pelli or farm on Hogen with stands for eight. It also includes a probate notice from Hollinger county Missouri dated February 1, 1922, urging creditors to file claims within six months to avoid bar.
