Virit Robin of the Spring tale recalled by Barnum

A Tale of Songs and Remedies From Old Times

A rambling, mixed text features an energetic youth praising a talented sister named Susan, singing along with popular tunes and natural talk of New York visits. It shifts to advertisements and health quacks, urging readers toward patent remedies, tonics, and nostrums, including Dr. W.W. Dye and Hall’s Catarrh Cure, with testimonials and marketing flourishes.
