A major slashing reduction on all fall and winter goods at a clearing sale aims to empty shelves of winter merchandise. The seller prioritizes cash over remaining stock and promises unprecedented bargains to attract buyers in the Southeast Missouri region.
A dry goods sale advertises deep cuts on cashmere and woolen fabrics, camels hair and striped crepe, worsted and dress linens, red flannel, seaisland and domestics. Prices drop from 80c to as low as 4c per yard and 66 inch broadcloth to 55a. Extensive reductions extend to bed ticking, sheeting, toweling, and lace curtains.
A large circulating ad describes a Clearing Sale at The Leader in Marble Hill Missouri offering deep discounts on suits overcoats cashmere pants jeans and various clothing items. Prices are cut 25 to 50 percent with groceries and household goods included, sale begins February 8 1807 and lasts one month.

Meeting to reconvene at Marble Hill church in April to finish business. Hahn Bollinger to start mill work this week and grind by late March.
Farmers began plowing last week in Patton area. Brook and Robinsons of New Jackson visited relatives. Young folks enjoyed a party at David Robinson's residence Saturday night. Assessor J D Hahn has been ill with mumps for several days. John R Farmer also with mumps for a week. Elder Loyd of Poiking Creek was noted in area remarks.
