Bollinger Democrats Hold Marble Hill Convention February 12
Delegates from Bollinger County townships gathered at the Marble Hill courthouse on February 12 to elect officers and draft resolutions. Chairman WoA LeoMer presided, Sam J. McMinn was secretary, and a resolutions committee proposed unity for the Missouri delegation to back Champ Clark, with Folk stepping aside and Clark urged as the party’s choice. The convention named delegates Robert Drum, F M Wells, Sam McMinn, TB Drain, J A Taylor, CO Hoble and WA Reynolds and instructed the Bollinger delegation to support Clark and, if Clark’s name is withdrawn, back Woodrow Wilson.
