Tax Supreme Court writ against Joseph Flory awarded
The Tax Supreme Court issued a writ of cuvter against Joseph Flory last Friday finding he had no interest in the office and was not qualified to prosecute the suit. Secretary of State Sam H. Cook appointed D. B. Seibert of Jackson as examiner. Seibert, a banker, is expected to fulfill duties satisfactorily. State Treasury deposits were awarded to four Missouri banks with an average interest rate of 2.025 the highest yet bid in Missouri. The Commoner editor Wo J Bevan discusses the common people as the industrious intelligent and patriotic element and asserts the paper will prove its right to the name through fidelity to the common people.
