All members of the Bol linger County Democratic Central Committee along with newly elected members and candidates are urged to meet at the courthouse in Marble Hill on Tuesday August 13 1018 at 1 00 oclock. The newly elected committee will be organized for the coming campaign. Dr W A Reynolds chairman.

D R Hunter of New Madrid reports an average of 45.46 bushels per acre on a 5 acre plot taken from a 120 acre field that yielded 40 bushels per acre. The stand was on wheat stubble ground after turning under stubble clover, field management included discing, harrowing, dragging, rolling, and sowing at one bushel per acre post fly free date. The crop reached five feet height, with a seven foot binder cutting 85 bundles per minute. The field shows minimal smut and a good stand of later stubble clover.
