Notables include J R Deckard Hartville J R Brewers Phelps City and County Clerk E G Purtle Hartville plus many returning travelers and sales notices from Mansfield.
The Mirror reports an order from T. E. Donnelley of the war industries board demanding subscription prepayment. A sworn statement will be required Nov 1 to show enforcement. If not paid through Aug 1918, names will be dropped unless renewed before Nov 1, with a 50 cent savings for renewals before October.
Roy Norcross comes home from Springfield where he has been attending college.
The seventh annual Mansfield Fair opened yesterday and runs through the week with exhibits extended due to rain. Diverse events include Dorothy Reeves performances, talks by A C Ragsdale and Dr C B Miller, a 40 piece military band, and the Nugget Theatre daily showings. The National War Garden Commission awards a Capitol Prize certificate and thrift stamp book. local ads promote Whith's Cream Vermi-Page and Sand liver tonic. Joseph Foster of Osborn pays five dollars in advance for Mirror subscription through Nov 1 1928.
