Effective Nov 15 changes shift officials of Frisco Lines. C H Baltzell leaves Thayer as Ozark division superintendent now merged into the Southern division led by R F Carr with Memphis HQ. Baltzell goes to Fort Smith Ark to head the Central division. Hensley reassigned to other duties. Carr previously Southeastern division head in Birmingham.
W A Newton of Hartville Mo issues a challenge to residents of Wright and Douglas counties to a checker contest during the Hartville holiday week from Christmas Saturday to January 1. They will play 30 to 40 games under Lee's Guide rules with the 2 neve restriction. The winner would have travel and board expenses covered. If not accepted by November 25 Newton will claim the two counties championship.

A large audience attended church at Pleasant Hill Sunday night with a protracted meeting set to begin Tuesday night led by Rev. M. B. Clift and pastorate duties noted.
