New dimes recently issued by the United States Mint have arrived in Mansfield. The coin features a reversed Liberty bust and stronger relief. The obverse shows Liberty with an eagle’s wing head ornament, the word Liberty, the date, and In God We Trust. The reverse depicts the bundle of rods and axe, laurel, and the Latin motto E Pluribus Unum with United States of America and the denomination.

The Wright County Medical Society gathered in Mountain Grove on Thursday electing Dr. R. A. Ryan of Norwood as president, Dr. Daugherty of Mountain Grove as vice president, and Dr. J. A. Fuson of Mansfield as secretary. Dr. B. C. Wittner of Mountain Grove was named delegate to the state meeting in Springfield in May. The next gathering will be in Mansfield in May with attendees from Mountain Grove, Mansfield, Hartville, Ava, and Norwood.

Yesterday marked the end of a 25 year medical career in Mansfield for Dr. R. M. Bogera. He is described as the oldest physician in Mansfield by length of service, though not the oldest in age. He began practicing medicine about two years before settling in Mansfield.
