Mansfield residents gather for church and school events, with visits from M. Coday J Ed Morgan and others. Local businesses promote grain, creamery products, and feed while civic figures travel to Springfield Ava and Bolivar. A May 21 sermon by Rev. J T A Well and graduating exercises at Nugget Theatre mark community activity.
Cedar Gap hosts its annual singing event this year on Sunday in June at Stine as in prior years. Attendees are invited to come early and spend the day bringing their plans and new songbooks for both PB and Odle Geader style singing.
A Mirror column appeals to district patrons to back a modern school building with an estimated 330 000 for construction and equipment. The letter argues for unified help, outlines bond limits and timing, and asks for prompt cooperation from all patrons, urging unity for the district’s future.
Notice states a Mansfield Chamber of Commerce meeting at the Nugget Theatre next Monday night May 22. Topics include Decoration Day arrangements possibly with the American Legion, 4th of July celebrations, Wright Co Fair and Stick Show plans, and other community matters. All members and boosters are invited.

At the M E Church C E program Myrtle Willims Lorenda Cantrell lead prayer and discussion on missions. Topics include what missionaries are how to serve at home aiding India and Wurmay, ways to support projects, and plans for a special meeting and program attendance.
Juniors and alumni entertained the seniors Thursday evening with a theatre party. Refreshments followed at the O I Cafe. The OT Cafe remains open and plans a large promotional event on Saturday. T. J. Smith and F. M. Smith have returned from California. Recorder H. C. Shelton of Hartville visited Saturday. M. J. Hodge traveled to north Missouri earlier in the week. Mrs. J. Orender and child returned from Kansas City. Miss Gladys Fuson visited Springfield this week. O. G. Harmon of Mountain Grove visited during the week. G. B. Burney resumed his post as telegrapher for the Frisco here.
