Mrs. Jesse A. Turner and children express gratitude to friends and relatives for kindness and assistance during sickness and death of their husband and father.
A Chicago millionaire promises a large reward for a reliable eye care solution. The ad declares only energetic men can handle today and tomorrow, urging readers to fix unknown eye defects causing constant strain. Dr. W. H. Johnson, O. D., Eye Sight Specialist, will be here Monday April 10.
In Mansfield Mirror an announcement nominates John N. Pryor Jr. of Pleasant Valley township for Wright County Clerk subject to August Primary. Pryor, a former circuit clerk, based in Mansfield, emphasizes integrity and readiness for the Republican ticket, pledging careful administration if nominated and elected.
Herbert C Shelton of Gasconade Township announces his candidacy before the Republican Primary for the nomination as Recorder of Deeds. He has served one term and is well known across Wright County for his diligent service, fair record, and friendly disposition.
Mrs. Fred Grover visited Springfield on Friday. Arthur Williams of Gasconade township toured Mansfield earlier in the week and left an announcement for Wright County Recorder of Deeds. A life sketch and qualifications will appear in a later Mirror issue.

Associated Press dispatch from New Orleans dated March 28 reports Carl Mays of Mansfield Mo doing strong work in a spring workout. The New York Yankees beat the New Orleans Pelicans 12 to 1, with Mays allowing three hits in five innings. John Paul Jones, from Springfield Mo, held Yankees to one hit in three innings as the Pelicans’ bullpen faced heavy batting.

Ek. A. Krotts district deputy of the M. W. A. visited Mansfield this week on a return trip from Bryant where he secured fifteen new members for the Bryant camp. The new members will be adopted during April.
A New York Jersey cow on the J. R. Coday property produced 20 616 pounds of milk and 1003 pounds of butter fat for the just closed year. The report notes the need for a few cows like her in the Ozarks.
The Parent Teachers Association invites all to a dinner on April 4 in the basement of the Christian church. Ladies will serve the meal and welcome the community to share in the event.

Fire destroyed two Marshfield stores owned by Sam A Hoover Wednesday morning causing an estimated 75000 in damages. Goods valued between 65000 and 90000 were insured for 29000. Buildings valued at 10000 and 7000 with respective insurance. Owners include John E Hossner Jesse James and Dr P S Florence. Editor Carl Garner escaped by jumping from a second story window.

Bretts of Cabool, district deputy for the M W A, reports good work in Mansfield, securing about 25 new members and reviving interest among existing lodge members. Brotts is active in multiple camps in his district.
