The city of Mannfeld issues a thirty day restraining order on all dog owners to keep dogs from straying unless muzzled. Dogs found running without muzzles will be seized by the City Marshal and disposed of immediately. Citizens urged to comply to prevent fatal accidents. J. E. Casig, Mayor.
In a University of Missouri article hydrophobia is defined as rabies, a disease of canines that can transmit to humans via bites. Dr M P Revenel notes dogs and wolves transmit to people, water fear appears only in humans, and heat or dog days do not cause it.
