A community note reports a good rain with hail and strong wind Friday. Leona Moody improved after illness. John Moody and wife visited Oscar Moody and fished at Cedar Gap. Oscar Moody and family visited C N Findley. Rev G W Scott preached at Pleasant Ridge. Dining guests at Findley’s included Dave Findley and wife, Oscar Moody wife and three children, and Neal Gray.

Mansfield Chamber of Commerce delegates assign planning to the Mansfield Concert Band and the Fair and Celebration Committee. Funds, programs, and events are led by the band with plans for speeches, entertainment, games, and band concerts. Residents are urged to attend and enjoy Mansfield’s National Holiday hospitality and park.
At a Mansfield Chautauqua boosters meeting with a Western Welfare Chautauquas rep, officers were elected and committees named. President D H Ray and Secretary M B Alcorn head the group, with G C Freeman as treasurer. Admission prices run 50 cents per ticket, 5 dollars for a season, with children at 1 10.</s>
Dr Wim Allen Orender born Kentucky August 61 1847 died May 81 1821 at Olathe Missouri aged 74 years and months. He married Elizabeth Yandel and had Compie Martha Otis Thomas Dora Joseph. after her death he wed Catherine Vancel and had Jesse Robert Bonita Hazel Stokely Rose Marie. A Civil War Union soldier and longtime Christian physician, he was respected and missed. Funeral by Dr R M Rogers of Mansfield and L A Johnson, Christian minister. Buried Fair View cemetery Olathe June 1 1921.

Hartville, led by pitcher Nash, lost to the Grays 6 to 5 after a homer-heavy game. Mose White and Dee Gaskill starred for the Grays with two homers and a two-run dive, while Hartville’s Eaton hit a homer in the eighth. Umpires Nash and Burris were praised for handling a tight contest.
