President Wilson backs a 100000000 fund for war-stricken neutrals, while Armenian and Syrian relief operates through missionaries to reach the most distressed Christians, with all campaign funds going directly to relief and its expenses covered separately.
Hospitals for the persecuted aid drive announces relief plan
The Armenian and Syrian Relief Committee has purchased fifteen 100 bed hospitals with equipment and 200 trucks from the U S government since the armistice. Buildings in Armenia, Syria and Turkey will house the equipment as Iraq, to be moved from France, to aid over two million persecuted Christians. Funds from the February relief drive will enable these hospitals to serve the afflicted. The Eastern District quota is 260 000 dollars and the U S aims to raise eighty million dollars for relief.
