The Fal of Mabylon is billed as the era’s best advertised picture, drawing capacity crowds at the Nugget and Wilson Opera House with second performances. Backed by Dr. Riley and H. S Wilson, the production proves printer’s ink plus goods equal business success. The next Griffeth-D W production at the Nugget is The Mother and the Line, on February 12th.
B Y P U program features devotionals on a worthy life with speakers Ruth Coday John Brazeal Clyde Turner Leo Dean and Mary Smith focusing on Christ as torchstone of conduct and fellowship with Christians in service. Special song by Elva and Lorene Tarner.
Mansfield Quintette lost 23 to 36 to Mountain View while the Mansfield sextet won 51 to 4 on the local court Saturday night. Stone led Mansfield with 13 points. Buriel Ferrer and Boff each had 12 for Mountain View. Potts scored 12 for Mansfield. Webb had 5 for Mountain View. Fans anticipate two more games Friday night between Houston and local teams.
The high school athletic association hosted a Gyw Saturday in honor of Min View basketball teams. Guests included honorees Miss Webb Soavely T Ferrer Grose Ferrer McGrath Turner and numerous gentlemen and ladies from Min View and the local community.
