Mansfield Lodge 5438 and Mansfield Chapter 76 stage joint installations after a six o'clock banquet. New officers are listed for the Masons and the Star, with Dr. M. Rogers and J. A. Fuson among those assisting, as J. J. Vetlof Kaus City presides and musical numbers close the evening.
The Mansfield MEK Sunday School elected officers led by Superintendent G N Benjamin with B Burford as assistant superintendent and Francis Black as treasurer and librarian. Miss Lorenda Cantrell serves as secretary and Mae Benjamin as organist with J D Reynolds as chorister and teachers including Dr I M Rogers Kuy J W Paterson B J Kurford and Mrs M B K Alcorn.
Miss Alice Tumbleson visits from Coin Iowa for the holidays. The American Legion served oysters to a good crowd Saturday. Miss Violet Craig of Little Rock Arkansas visited home folks. Misses Margaret and Nola Boughnov spent the holidays locally. Royal Neighbors and Modern Woodmen public installation planned for Tuesday night January 10 inviting all Woodmen and Royal Neighbors and husbands. Churches offered Christmas Eve programs with well decorated trees and Santa distributed keepsakes.
Local society notes show visitors from Kansas City Springfield and Spokane along with holiday gatherings at Twin Valley Stock Farm Mansfield. Several notices advertise sales and local business, plus Xmas dinner attendees and upcoming sports trips for Mansfield high school teams.
H A Short returns from Texas. F C Mays move to Mun Grove. Mrs Thos Willoughby of Pittsburg Kans visits. A special election endorses closing motion picture and vaudeville shows on Sundays by 6007 to 5231. A shop advertises enamelware and queensware at low prices from Reynolds and Campbell.
The B Y P U program for Sunday January 1 1921 features devotions and a service with leaders Josie Seals Sylvian Brown and Grace McAllister Lorene Turner. Scripture reads 2 Corinthians 5 10. Various parts by Grace McAllister Lorene Turner, John Larazeal Merle Cole Earl Cole Homer Bron and J H Pool outline living a life of faith obedience and service to grow a heavenly character.
Frances Black leads a discussion on improving the society with questions on weakness, pastor help, spiritual life, New Year resolutions, and better service. Participants include Carter Reynolds Rippee Kay Hoover Benjamin Beach Willis Right Newton Williams Cantrell Craig Palmer Friend Brake Fuson and readers from Romans 12 and Matthew 21.
The Mansfield Baptist Church and Ava Baptist Church, each naming Rev W S Burchard as half time pastor, agreed to shift their meeting times from the 2nd and 4th to the last and 3rd Sundays. Monthly conference meetings will be held on the Saturday night before the first Sunday.
An advertisement claims irregular bowel movements cause discomfort and constipation. It promotes Herbine as the remedy to restore healthy regularity, priced at 60 cents and sold by all druggists.
Official tax list for Pleasant Valley Township CUll urges residents to pay taxes promptly to avoid penalty before January 1. Payment location listed as rear Reynolds Campbell Hardware. Signed by W. B. Hitencock.

Morning worship at 11 o clock with preaching. Evening service at 7 20 features a lay speaker from each church giving ten minute talks on topics of interest and a union choir providing music at both services.
By request of the Missouri Farmers Association the clubs are asked to elect a delegate for every ten members or fraction to attend at Hirtville on Wednesday January 4 1922 to elect new officers for the year.
