Congressional Committee Begins Railway Inquiry
Washington November 20 Ten members of Congress began hearings on federal regulation of railroads and possible federal incorporation of railroads. The Newlands committee will hear rail road officials, shippers, bankers and representatives of commerce and labor as it weighs expanding federal authority over rates and securities and reducing state power.
