Cumberland Presbyterian Church announces preaching every fourth Sunday with Rev John T Younger as pastor at 9 45 a m and G W Freeman serving as superintendent.
Rev G W Holmes pastor preaches every third Sunday morning and evening. J D Reynolds superintendent leads Bible school at 9 45 am weekly. J A Riley superintendent preaching on the fourth Sunday. Ald Society meets every Wednesday afternoon.
The State Legal Committee of the Missouri Council of Defense appoints Wright county three member panel led by Chas W Evans of Mountain Grove with George C Murrell of Hartville and N J Craig of Mansfield. The permanent advisory panel serves service members and families without pay and offers free legal aid in and out of court. It assists the Council of Defense when needed.

The Nuvevet theatre will exhibit feature pictures from the division of films committees on public information with communications from Director Chharios tart of New York. The films detail battle front activities of our troops and have military power second to none, and will be released to real motion picture theatres. The Nugget management has cooperated with the government and will pay for the use of the films.
A. F. Richardson of Hartville, current recorder of deeds, was in town Saturday and seeks reelection. As an official, he says he serves the people to the best of his ability, remains courteous, keeps his office open during business hours, and maintains neat, accurate, and conscientious records.
Rev. G W Holmes remains in Deaconess Hospital at Springfield but shows improvement and hopes to return soon. Rev. B D Jones of Aurora has promised to fill his next appointment here on the third Sunday in August.

The Mansfield Special Road District commissioners plan substantial road work this fall. A concrete bridge will be installed near the old canning factory site, marking a notable improvement for the district infrastructure.
