Barn Fire Destroys Bert Herrick’s Barn and Stock
At about 2 30 Saturday morning Bert Herrick eight miles north of town discovered his barn on fire. Eight cows three horses and two mules were inside with five cows and two horses saved. Loss estimated at about 1400 with some insurance. L H VanBuskirk cow tester was staying at the farm with his stallion in the barn and both men suffered burns in attempting to save stock.
