Mr. and Mrs. Warl Heckman entertained with a dinner at their country home on Sunday in honor of Mrs. Frank Palmer whose birthday was Wednesday. The meal followed church services and honored Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palmer Mrs. Anna Starrett and the Earl Heckmans with a large birthday cake.
Manito Home Bureau Unit won First Prize in the County Scrap Book contest and was named a Blue Ribbon Club as Mason County Home Bureau marked its 25th Anniversary. The event July 30 in Havana featured a Lutheran Church Parish Hall meeting with 9 a.m. registration and 10 a.m. call to order. Luncheon was provided by St. Paul's Ladies Aid Society. Attendees from the Manito unit included Mesdames Bernshausen, Meeker, Ethell, Meyer, Rankin, Waldmeier, Warner and Misses Rankin and Graff.
