Mabel Corbett Hosts Beta Chapter Meeting
Beta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa was entertained at the home of Mabel Corbett with Mrs. Irma Strawbridge as co host. Freda Schwering presided as president. Reports were given by Thelma Siltman and Grace Sission. The meeting included poems and author contests and pictures shown by Ellen Dobson. May 16 in Bath is scheduled for the next gathering.

Comrades of the Way Hold April Meeting Potluck
A potluck supper marked the Comrades of the Way Class April gathering in the basement of Community Methodist Church. A short business session followed with social time. Present were Mr. and Mrs. Milton Meeker, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Gosda and family, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Buck and son, and Mr. and Mrs. Sam Meeker.

Mrs Edith Rankin Honored By Friends At Birthday Gathering
Neighbors and friends gathered Friday at the home of Christine Johnson to honor Mrs Edith Rankin whose birthday falls on Sunday. Bingo prizes were awarded and three birthday cakes were cut by the honoree. Cakes were made by Hazel Sunderland Nellie Waldmeier and Christine Johnson and served with ice cream. An orchid was among the gifts. Present were Nellie Waldmeier Hazel Sunderland Carrie Meyer Lenore Johnson Hannah Hirst Jennie Rankin Marie Wilson Della Hobbs Louise Kerr Effie Cox Lillie Schewert Betty White Christine Johnson and Mrs Rankin. Marie Bernshausen sent a gift but could not attend.

St Pauls Walther League Attends Bloomington Festival
A group from St Pauls Walther League traveled to Bloomington for the annual talent festival. Members from the church included Ronald Vogel Henry Heintz Arno Hiller Arthur Durdel Helen McGinnis Carol Rademaker and Harold Moldenhauer. Mr and Mrs Roy Seelye had returned home from Lockhart South Carolina where they visited their son and family.
