Manilla meeting backs a YES vote on communism referendum

He argued only the Commonwealth Parliament can act, cautioned against civil liberty abuses, and contrasted with state powers and the Crimes Act. At Memorial Hall next Friday night a concert begins at 8 p m featuring local songs and piano items. Tamworth artists perform including a short humorous play Ici on Parle Francais starring Lyall Green who played the villain in Arsenic and Old Lace in Tamworth. Cast also includes Winsome Dorn Gwen Barwick Nita Perkins Eileen Crosland Bruce Menzies and Des Whan. A sword dance by listed dancers and Tell Me Pretty Maiden by the chorus accompany a balancing act. Supper served after the performance.
