The Manilla Hospital Board met with President H V Dowe and members G B Bowman J D Kennedy J N Kennedy G A White A C Veness R H Hudson and M Park in attendance. Maternity ward plans and nurse quarters funding were discussed along with a £120 subsidy. Treasurers showed a month’s receipts of £293 5 3 and a credit balance of £196 9 5 after payments. fixed deposit £1043 5 0 and Savings Bank £613 9 4. Matron reported 34 admissions that month 53 total treated 43 discharges and 10 remaining. daily average 11.7 with 11 outdoor patients treated. Gifts were noted from several donors. Chairman attended Hospitals Association conference in Sydney October 6 7. business light, agenda wrapped in one day.
