Mandowa Shire Council Considers Library Scheme
Mandowa Shire Council discussed inviting two delegates to review joining the Namoi Regional Library Scheme. Council favours the idea but cannot participate now for financial reasons and will revisit the matter later. The council disagrees with views that roadloads are needed over good books. A bush fire danger period was set for October 1952 to January 1958 for the North West region. The fire risk is expected to be high due to grass growth, with risk this year possibly equal to last year.
