The Acting Shire Clerk noted monthly revenue of £820 with £600 Government subsidy. delinquents were reminded, and half-year audit completed. Application for a gate in-ramp by R A B Pele advertised with no objections. The Shire Engineer reported repairs on several roads completed, creek works and grading finished, storm damage fixed, and urgent repairs on Bungendore and Corella roads done. Arrangements to gravel at 19-mile crossing on Halls Creek road. rain damage noted on Bogeabri road from Manilla to 84-mile. Tenders closed for a culvert at the 7-mile peg. none received. Plenty of Water Lifts Drought Restrictions in Sydney Suburbs
After over two years of water restrictions due to drought in the catchment area, last week's rain filled storage dams to overflowing.
