Garden Party Opens Under Rainy Conditions at Parish Hall
The Rev V Co and Mrs Duncombe hosted the Annual Garden Party despite wet weather. Mayor Ald. G F Grill opened the event at 3 pm and praised the efforts of organizers. A cooking competition judged by Mesdames G S R Park and L Wilshire drew thanks from the Vicar. Vendors from multiple halls raised brisk trade, and many volunteers ensured a successful afternoon tea served by the Womens Guild. Some competitions were abandoned due to limited space, with results noted for those held.
