Inspector Transferred to Parramatta in 1955

Mr A M Howard who has served as Inspector of E Schools for the Tamworth District for seven years is notified of his transfer to Parramatta. The appointment takes effect from the start of the 1955 school year. His successor will be F W Vere, formerly district inspector Forbes, known in Manilla for years as headmaster of Manilla District School.

Sale of Seed Wheat by Manila Branch Discusses Board Rules

A Manila Branch meeting of the Farmers and Settlers Association resolved to obtain guidance on selling seed wheat. Mr Russell Scott advised growers must apply to the Australian Wheat Board for permission to sell seed wheat and notify the Board of quantities sold. He stressed that no wheat other than seed may be sold outside the Pool without Board permission.
