Manils Hard Court Tennis Association forms new season plan
At a Saturday meeting on May 7 1930 the Manils Hard Court Tennis Association decided to host a tennis competition in the coming season. Officers were elected including Patron C Hayward President K J Hart and secretary C N Woods. Teams are to include four men and two women with an affiliation fee of 10 shillings 6 pence and a registration fee of 6 pence per player.

Larceny as Bailee Case at Gunnedah Police Court
Michael Henry Gillet, 34, charged with unlawfully taking a walky back paddle breeching and reins worth £1 from Michael Downes after borrowing gear for a wagonette. Downes testified the harness was lent for two months with no authority to dispose of it. Gillet, remanded from Manilla, pleaded not guilty and was convicted and sentenced to ten months hard labor.
