The New England North and North West Producers Company reports the seventh wool sale cleared 98 per offering with private sale fully clearing. Top Sydney price reached 133d per ling for several lots as Newcastle firmed as a wool selling and export center. Upcoming season sales slated for late August with first catalogue for stored wool a week prior. The company notes growing set stock selling, enabling consignors to choose Newcastle or Flemington. Prime fat sheep and cattle prices also rose in Newcastle, prompting consignors to contact Newew Knee or the company for rapid service.
Alderman Coates told the council he had seen government grants for parks and gardens and urged Manila to receive similar support for the Recreation Ground.
