Bowls Club Reports Weather Delays and Matches
Four score cards from recent bowls play are on record as showers interrupt competition. In B Grade Singles Dick Brett defeated Fred Pavy 27 16, while Sid Carlyon and Jack Cocking beat Wray Cooke and Jack Blair 15 14. Other results saw Coorey Miler Pittman 18 12 over Kirk Blair Windeyer and Doring Scott 12 7 over Simpson Price. The club suspends night bowling until greens recover, with matches now set for Saturdays and Sundays. The secretary plans intertown serials with Bogabri and Walcha and contemplates moveable canopies for shade. President Byrnes notes long search for land for two greens and reports a bold land purchase to secure future facilities.
