Methodist Club Banquet Celebrates Fellowship and Coronation Era
The Methodist Club held a birthday banquet at the Methodist School Hall with about 100 attendees including members, parents, church representatives, and visitors. The program featured Loyal Toasts, tributes to the club and its youth work, devotional services, a cake baked by Mrs. L Macleod, and performances by Robyn Bailey, Jack Baker, Muriel Cooke, and others plus a silent Remembrance toast for members lost, concluding with benediction.

The death occurred suddenly at his residence 19 Stephen Street Manilla of Mr W C Ryan aged 66 Born in Manilla he resided there until 1919 returning in 1925 to take over the saddlery business He was Past District Grand Master of the M U O O F and a member since sixteen Survived by wife three daughters Betty Joyce Barbara three sons Michael Norman Alfred a sister Mrs J Hogan The service at St Michaels Church and graveside was conducted by Rev Father OBrien.
