A letter from J D Kenedy and Sons on behalf of Mr A J Gardner asked the council to refund impounding fees for two horses impounded last Friday. Ald Gilmour warned against refunds, noting potential requests from others. Council declined to refund the fees.
At the Manilla Municipal Council meeting the Works Committee reported visiting the Rural School and consulting with the Parents and Citizens Association and staff on muddy footpaths and road shoulders in front of the school. The plan calls for screenings mixed with tar to surface the footpath and roadway along Court Street and Northbrook Lane to improve access for the infants class room area, with work to proceed as labour and materials permit.
