President's annual report to Manilla Bowling Club
Mr Byrnes thanks vice presidents Moore and Martin and the secretary treasurer for work while noting four foundation members Kennedy Veness Macleod and A R Macleod have died. Club membership stood at 110 with a move to 120, subscriptions rose to £4 4s, green sets cut, and plans to extend the clubhouse discussed. The club raised funds for flood relief, recorded club history, hosted visits from nearby clubs, and earned the Campbell Cup and other trophies. The finances remained healthy. 12 sets of bowls were issued, and the club joined regional pennants and championships. The annual prize night was held at the Masonic Hall.
