New committee member Dunn, head master of the Rural School, was welcomed. discussions covered a local Merino ewe competition and potential tent shows for the next show. The panel decided on new car stand plates, adjusted show dates for 1953, and fixed meeting nights to the last Friday each month at 7:45 pm with a special meeting on August 15.

Arrival of pipes for North Manilla water supply
The first batch of 4 inch pipes for North Manilla water supply has arrived in Manilla. The Town Clerk says contractor Mr. Jones will return soon to connect the water to houses facing the rising main from the Namoi River bridge to the North Manilla Service reservoir. Council will connect the main to a meter inside landholder fences. after that, landholders bear responsibility. Special fittings will not be available until next month and tender calls have been issued for laying the pipes.
