The December 15 1943 issue of the P O W monthly notes the U S Attorney General Mr Riddle stating Japanese POWs are treated better than the Geneva Convention requires. It cites longer prisoner letters, Red Cross parcels arriving, and hints at forthcoming government broadcasts and Army ministerial replies to POW relatives.
