Manilla Hospital Board Notes December Meeting
The Manilla Hospital Board met on December 1 with President H V Dowe presiding. Donations were acknowledged from Mrs Cameron, Mrs Kennedy, Miss Coulton, Mrs Glover, Womens Hospital Auxiliary, and Mr H V Dove and Mr McDonald. A total of 55 patients were admitted that month, 64 discharged, 1 remaining, daily average 14.2, plus five outdoor patients. Tenders for hospital goods were accepted from Grovettes, Bakers Mills, and Mr W W Hull. Treasurer J N Kennedy reported income of £204 0s 1d and a working balance of £305 10s 1d after expenses, with a £35 cheque allocated to maintenance of the Children’s Ward from the J N and D Kennedy Trust.
