Race Club and Liquor Bar Meeting Stirs Local Race Booth Issue
Delegates from Manilis Sub Branch of the RSL and Manilla Race Club met on 7 January to discuss the race booth matter. They concluded that Do amgersion aimed to cast blame on the League or its members by the Club’s Committee, though the Race Club chose to run the booth itself. The club regrets any friction caused by a delay in informing the League, noting the secretary’s absence in Sydney. Separate notices include a March 13 1952 bidding deadline for grazing rights on 120 acres near the Namoi Parish, and advertisements offering district work opportunities and typewriter rentals.
