Manilla Branch meeting discusses Wheat aid and tax
The Manilla branch met Saturday with members including A McDonald H B Kairlie Cunningham G B M Hull and others. They backed public meetings to push government action on primary industries, urged fair distribution of any loaned wheat aid, supported a sales tax on flour, protested abolishing Pastures Protection Board, and condemned a penny per pound duty on sheep skins while commending Tamworth Board work.
